The Oklahoma City Thunder (19-42) visit the Ball Arena Wednesday to take on the Denver Nuggets (36-25). Tip-off is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET. Below, we look at the Thunder vs. Nuggets odds and lines, and make our expert NBA picks, predictions and bets.
The Thunder are coming into this game following an embarrassing 21-point home loss to the Kings. OKC failed to cover as 5.5-point underdogs.
OKC is 4-4-2 against the spread (ATS) over its last 10 and 10-21 straight up (SU) on the road, which is better than the Thunder’s 9-21 SU home record. OKC is 36-21-4 ATS this season, the second-highest covering rate.
Denver has been hot lately, coming off a 32-point win over the Trail Blazers. The Nuggets are 7-3 ATS over their last 10 and have covered 3 of their last 4.
Led by reigning MVP C Nikola Jokic, the Nuggets are just 17-10 SU at home. They’ll be huge favorites as they welcome the Thunder Wednesday.

Thunder at Nuggets odds, lines, picks and predictions
Nuggets 116, Thunder 104
There is no playable side here. The only way to consider playing the money line is in OKC’s favor at +800, but that’s far too risky to put any faction of a unit on.

Against the spread
BET on the THUNDER +14.5 (-107).
The Nuggets are the far superior team here, but they haven’t covered well this season when given a spread this large. When double-digit favorites, the Nuggets are just 1-3 ATS.
OKC and Denver have played twice, both in Oklahoma City. Denver won by 4 and lost by 14.
OKC is 21-10 ATS this season as a road underdog, and with G Shai Gilgeous-Alexander healthy and a key playmaker, the Thunder should have the offensive firepower to hang close.
The Thunder also have the 10th-ranked defense in the NBA. Coupling that with the Nuggets’ 19th-ranked pace, OKC should be able to keep this game within 15 points.
BET on the UNDER 225.5 (-110).
The crew chief for this game is Courtney Kirkland. He is in his 22nd NBA season and has a 13-27 O/U record this season and the average total of a game Kirkland officiates is 215.0 points per game.
OKC already doesn’t have a high-octane offense outside of SGA. It ranks 30th in offensive rating. The Nuggets rank 27th in free throw attempt rate while the Thunder sits 29th.
All signs point to the Under being a great play.
