The Winnipeg Jets (22-20-9) travel to meet the Colorado Avalanche (37-10-4) Friday at Ball Arena. Puck drop is scheduled for 9 p.m. ET (ESPN+). Below, we look at the Jets vs. Avalanche odds and lines, and make our expert NHL picks, predictions and bets.
Winnipeg lost a 3-2 heartbreaker in overtime at the Dallas Stars Wednesday, and the road gets tougher taking on the points leader in the NHL. The Jets have lost three straight and have combined for 5 goals in the process.
Colorado took care of the Detroit Red Wings 5-2 Wednesday. The Avalanche were without C Nathan MacKinnon, who remains questionable for this game as well with a lower-body injury.

Odds provided by Tipico Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated at 10:28 a.m. ET.
Money line: Jets +220 (bet $100 to win $220) | Avalanche -280 (bet $280 to win $100)
Against the spread (ATS): Jets +1.5 (-107) | Avalanche -1.5 (-115)
Over/Under (O/U): 6.5 (O: -115 | U: -107)
Jets at Avalanche projected goalies
Connor Hellebuyck (17-18-8, 2.80 GAA, .914 SV%, 3 SO) vs. Darcy Kuemper (25-6-2, 2.47 GAA, .919 SV%, 3 SO)
Hellebuyck was awesome Wednesday as he made 36 saves on 39 shots despite losing. He was tormented during a 7-1 loss to the Avs in Jan., though, and if the Jets are going to stay in this game it’s because of Hellebuyck.
Kuemper is having a phenomenal month despite the 5-1 loss in his last game at the Boston Bruins Monday. He’s 4-1-1 with a 1.98 GAA and a .937 SV% across six February starts. He got the night off Wednesday and enters this one fresh. Kuemper allowed 1 goal on 35 shots in the Jan. meeting with Winnipeg.

Jets at Avalanche odds, lines, picks and predictions
Avalanche 4, Jets 2
The Avalanche (-280) are the right side, but steer clear of this price tag that may inflate to -300 before puck drop. PASS and look to the spread.
Against the spread
The AVALANCHE -1.5 (-115) are rollin’, and their tendy is rested. That 7-1 thrashing has to be on the Jets’ minds, but the puck line should be a safe bet.
Colorado has won five of the last six matchups against Winnipeg, and the Jets are 1-7 in their last eight trips to Colorado.
The UNDER 6.5 (-107) is where we’re going with a short lean. The Avs could easily go over with an empty-netter, but the Under seems more likely Friday.
