The show was supposed to debut in October 2018, but was postponed after a number of factors including a pilot’s problems, a cancellation order from NBCUniversal, and a scheduling conflict with other shows.
After a second season, the show was pulled from Netflix, and the network announced that the show’s second season would not premiere until late 2019.
But Titan was still slated to air on Netflix at some point after the end of 2019, though the timing of its cancellation was not announced.
The news of the cancellation comes just a few days after HBO announced that its upcoming scripted series “Mad Men” would not be renewed for a second year after its season ended.
It’s unclear what role the canceled show played in Titan’s demise.
Netflix has not yet confirmed whether Titan will return for a third season, but it is expected to do so sometime this year.
