Fantasy Gaming Platforms In India Looking Forward To IPL 2021

The BCCI (Board Of Control For Cricket In India) has decided to hold the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League behind closed doors at least for the initial stages of the tournament. This could mean online fantasy gaming websites are going to get more traffic and interest from cricket fans from around the country.

Fantasy gaming platforms are preparing for the IPL with new-in app features, sign-up bonuses, virtual meet-and-greet sessions with players and contests to engage more users! Mobile Premier League (MPL) claim that they have 70 million users in the country and are expecting to attract 30 million more during the IPL season. During IPL 2020 its daily app installations had gone up by 100% and fantasy gamers grew by 7 times, it said.

Fantasy Cricket App “BalleBaazi” New Feature 

Abhishek Madhavan, Senior Vice President of Growth and Marketing, said, “We are prepared to handle an even higher user influx this time. We are coming up with new tournament formats for all games on MPL and have exciting cash offers on referral.” Baazi Games are also stepping up their game. Their cricket fantasy app, BalleBaazi has introduced a new feature called “Second Innings Fantasy”, that will allow players to create/edit their teams till the second innings gets underway. 

Saurabh Chopra, Chief Executive of BalleBaazi, said, “Now users will get two chances to win in the same match. We have also added a chat section in the private league where users will now be able discuss the game with friends and family.” It seeks to add 3 million new users to its existing 5.5 million this IPL season and to expand social media presence by 60-70%.

The All India Gaming Federation CEO, Roland Landers, said that, “Online gaming companies including fantasy sports platforms are eagerly looking forward to leveraging IPL 2021 while anticipating a healthy double-digit growth. It is estimated that about 50 million.” The two months of the Indian Premier League are going to be big for fantasy gaming websites across the country.
